"The way [Foundry] works is very quick, on its feet, alive and dangerous," says Conallen. "That's all very appealing." A bonus is getting to be part of the premiere of a work by Dresser, whose plays he has seen but not before acted in.

"There's a math to comedy, and Richard is a genius at that formula," he says, adding, "When I first read it, I could see that it was a really smart piece. Now, rehearsing it, we get to find the heart of it, too."
